The smaller pumpkin was my practice pumpkin to see if I could carve the snake shape in a pumpkin. The larger pumpkin was the final full-sized pumpkin but I liked both of them so much, I entered them as a pair. Won first place.
I created these teeth out of clay and nails and baked in the oven to harden. Then I carved this huge mouth into a pumpkin to put them in. It looked better before I added the fake blood but it still won first place.
It took two pumpkins to create the upper and lower portions of the branches. The support was a bigger success though. I formed the tree trunk and root structure out of clay and added bark dimension with a fork and paint. Also added rocks to weigh down the base. This also won first place.
It took lots of chicken wire, masking tape and paper mache to create this monster swallowing a pumpkin. Designed the head of the snake and pumpkin to rest on the snake body and in two pieces. It only won second place;(
The baby's name is Mylee Rose, so I hot glued over a thousand flowers to this balloon and topped it with a gem encrusted crown, fit for a princess. Last minute theme adjustment had me adding baby cows to the balloon, so cute. This was for my nephew and his girlfriend.
Cintia was having a baby girl and this was during Covid, so everyone was working remotely but I still wanted her to have a baby shower balloon. The original theme of her shower was flowers because of their last name.
Ivonne was having a baby girl and this was during Covid, so everyone was working remotely but I still wanted her to have a baby shower balloon.
Larisa was flying in for her baby shower, and this was the first hot air balloon I'd created for a girl, so I fancied things up a bit and went pink and sparkly.
My very good friend, Darlene was about to become a first time grandmother, twice. Her daughter, Kiana was about to have twin boys.
Kayla'a baby shower was my first attempt at creating decorative hot air balloons. I created one for each of Kayla's sons' baby showers.
I can't do anything plain, so for Shirley's baby shower, I created a huge flower bouquet made out of diaper flowers.
Kelly's baby was due close to Thanksgiving so I told her I would build her a diaper turkey. I started with a box, added chicken wire, masking tape, paper mache and crepe paper to create the first ever diaper turkey.
Rudy's baby was due close to Christmas so I built him a Christmas tree made out of diapers for his baby shower.
